Tezze sul Brenta sits on the left bank of the Brenta river in the Province of Vicenza, Veneto. The comune covers a flat stretch of the Brenta valley floor, roughly 10 km south of Bassano del Grappa and about 45 km northwest of Venice. With a population near 12,000, it functions primarily as an agricultural and light-industrial settlement rather than a tourist hub, which keeps accommodation rates measurably lower than in neighboring resort towns.

Visitors arrive mainly for two reasons: access to the broader Brenta Riviera cycling route, which runs along the riverbank toward Padua, and proximity to Bassano del Grappa's historic covered bridge — the Ponte degli Alpini — rebuilt to Andrea Palladio's 16th-century design. The surrounding countryside produces Breganze DOC wines, and the local markets stock grappa distilled in Bassano. Travelers attending trade fairs in Vicenza also use Tezze sul Brenta as a cost-effective base, as the Vicenza Expo Centre is under 30 km by car via the SR53.

Rail access is available from Tezze–Grantorto station on the Padua–Bassano del Grappa line, with journey times of approximately 15 minutes to Bassano and 40 minutes to Padua Centrale. The A31 Valdastico motorway interchange at Piovene Rocchette is around 20 km north, linking the area to the A4 Milan–Venice corridor.
