Le Sirenuse

Four generations of the Sersale family have run Le Sirenuse from the same 18th-century villa on Via Cristoforo Colombo, perched above Positano's church dome with uninterrupted views across the Tyrrhenian to Li Galli islets.

Fifty-eight rooms and suites mix antique Neapolitan furniture with hand-painted Vietri ceramics; the best face seaward from private terraces. La Sponda restaurant is candlelit each evening with hundreds of individual tapers — a detail the hotel has maintained for decades.

Positano's main beach is a four-minute walk downhill; the hotel's boat arranges transfers to Capri and Amalfi on request. Driving the SS163 coast road is the standard arrival route, as village parking is effectively unavailable to visitors.
