San Michele Salentino is a small agricultural town in the Brindisi province of Puglia, southern Italy. It sits roughly 10 kilometres northwest of Brindisi city and about 40 kilometres north of Lecce, deep in the flat, sun-baked Salento hinterland. Olive groves and vineyards dominate the surrounding countryside, and the town is closely tied to the production of Primitivo and Negroamaro wines grown on the Murge Tarantine plateau edge.

Visitors here are typically drawn by rural agritourism, slow-food culture, and proximity to the Adriatic coast at Torre Canne and Ostuni — both reachable within 25 kilometres. The historic centre clusters around the Chiesa Madre di San Michele Arcangelo, a Baroque parish rebuilt in the 18th century that gives the town its name.
