Villa Castelli sits in the Valle d'Itria, province of Brindisi, Puglia, roughly 5 km south of Cisternino and 30 km northwest of Brindisi city. The town falls within the trulli belt — a landscape of conical dry-stone dwellings that earned UNESCO World Heritage status at nearby Alberobello in 1996. The historic centre holds a 17th-century parish church and a small weekly market selling local olive oil and preserved vegetables.

The surrounding countryside produces Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes across low-trained vineyards. Local masserie — fortified farmhouses converted to agriturismo — offer stays within cycling distance of the town. Visitors use Villa Castelli as a quieter base for the Valle d'Itria circuit: Locorotondo, Martina Franca, and Ostuni are each within 20 km. The town draws wine travellers in autumn during the Primitivo harvest season, typically late August through September.
