Wadi Rum Desert Adventures

Near the entrance checkpoint to the protected reserve, Wadi Rum Desert Adventures places guests inside the valley floor rather than at its edge — sandstone massifs rise directly outside each tent, with no buffer of fencing or parking between.

Accommodation runs in canvas and goat-hair structures built to Bedouin proportion; fire pits anchor the common area where guides brief the following day's jeep routes into the wider 74,000-hectare reserve. Dinner is zarb-style, slow-cooked underground.

The village of Rum sits three kilometres north, and the Royal Jordanian Desert Patrol post marks the start of camel routes toward Lawrence's Spring. Petra transfer runs two hours by road; most guests pair two nights here with one night in Aqaba before or after.
