Two dozen palapa-roofed rooms front directly onto Playa Norte at Paseo Kuka, placing guests on one of the Caribbean's few car-free beaches without a road to cross. Holbox's ban on motor vehicles means the loudest sound at night is the Gulf current.

Water sports run from the property's own dock — snorkeling, canoeing, and fishing trips arranged through the tour desk. The spa offers massage, facials, and manicure under open-air thatched structures. Yoga classes run beachside each morning.

Holbox is reached by ferry from Chiquilá, roughly 2.5 hours from Cancún. The hotel's airport shuttle connects to that crossing. Whale shark season runs June through September, and the tour desk books those excursions directly.
