Erfoud Palace

Converted from a kasbah-style caravanserai on the Route de Rissani, Erfoud Palace sits a kilometre south of town on the road toward the Merzouga dunes, roughly forty-five minutes by car — a practical stopover for travellers breaking the desert drive rather than a base for walking the town itself.

The four-star property keeps a pink-toned pisé facade and an interior courtyard pool shaded by palms, with rooms arranged around it to dampen road noise. Staff arrange early departures for sunrise dune excursions, coordinating directly with Merzouga guides.
