Erg Chebbi Dunes Desert Camp

Twenty-four luxury tents rise along the base of Erg Chebbi's orange dunes outside Merzouga, where the Sahara reaches 150 metres at its highest ridge — visible from every tent entrance at sunrise.

Each canvas suite pairs traditional Berber textiles with en-suite facilities and private terrace facing east toward Algeria. Camel treks depart at dusk directly from camp, returning after stargazing sessions led by local guides who name constellations in Amazigh.

Merzouga village sits four kilometres west, reachable by 4x4 transfer. The camp's kitchen serves harira and slow-cooked lamb tagine at a communal fire table each evening — a single sitting that begins when the dunes go dark.
