Merzouga Nomads Camp

Across the final paved road before the Erg Chebbi dunes begin, Merzouga Nomads Camp places guests at the sand's actual edge rather than a kilometre back where most desert lodges settle. The dune face rises directly from the camp's eastern boundary.

Tents are furnished in Berber kilim and cedar fittings; the absence of generator noise after 22:00 is deliberate, leaving only wind and the occasional camel bell. Dinner is cooked over open fire and served under the sky — no dining room exists.

Merzouga village, with its fossil shops and quad-hire stalls, sits a short walk west. The pre-dawn dune climb for sunrise is guided from camp; no separate booking required.
