Two dozen luxury canvas tents rise from the Erg Chebbi dune field outside Merzouga, each positioned to face the sand ridge rather than neighboring accommodation. The site sits roughly four kilometres from the village, far enough that no generator noise or road light reaches the camp after dark.

Tents carry private en-suite bathrooms with hot showers — uncommon in Sahara camps at this price point — along with hand-woven Amazigh rugs and low cedar beds. Dinner is served communally around a fire circle, with a Gnawa music session most evenings.

Merzouga itself offers camel treks into the erg at dawn, a two-hour drive from Erfoud airport. The camp arranges 4x4 transfers and overnight dune excursions deeper into the desert.
