Riad Chebbi

Twelve rooms built around a shaded riad courtyard in Tanamoust, on Merzouga's edge where the paved road gives way to Erg Chebbi's dunes. Terracotta tadelakt walls and a central palm-shaded pool separate the property from the desert-camp tents that dominate local listings.

Staff arrange camel treks and overnight bivouacs directly from the courtyard desk, timed for sunset departure. Dinner is a single tagine service under the open roof terrace, where the dune line is visible without leaving the property.

Merzouga village center, with its shops and bus stop, sits a ten-minute walk north.
