Riad Ksar Merzouga

Five rooms surround a central courtyard at Riad Ksar Merzouga, built in traditional ksar style with mudbrick walls that keep interiors cool against the Erg Chebbi dune heat. A rooftop terrace opens directly onto the dune field.

Each room is decorated with Berber textiles and local carpentry rather than standardized furnishings. The kitchen prepares communal tagine dinners taken by lamplight in the courtyard, with desert excursions arranged directly through the riad.

Merzouga village sits at the edge of the dunes, a practical base for travellers focused on desert camps and 4x4 or camel access rather than town amenities.
