Beyond the last paved road into Merzouga, Riad Villa Amood rises at the edge of Erg Chebbi, where the Sahara's tallest dunes in Morocco begin their climb directly from the property's terrace. The position means sunrise over two hundred metres of orange sand before any other guest traffic reaches this corner of the desert.

The riad format keeps communal space central: a shaded courtyard with a plunge pool anchors the midday heat, while roof terraces serve as the natural dining room after dark. Camel treks and 4x4 excursions into the dune field are arranged on-site, with early departures timed to reach the dune crests before 07:00.
