Between the last paved road and the Erg Chebbi dune wall, Sahara Luxury Camp positions its tents at the edge of Merzouga's tallest sand ridge — the point where the Sahara's orange dunes rise sharply from the hammada plain. Merzouga village lies roughly three kilometres west, offering morning mint tea stops and a small market. Erg Chebbi itself peaks at 150 metres — one of Morocco's highest dune formations — making sunrise walks from camp the primary activity before the midday heat settles in.
