Sunset Dunes Camp

Slotted into the eastern edge of Erg Chebbi, Sunset Dunes Camp positions its tents where the dune face catches the last direct light before the Sahara drops into darkness. Merzouga village sits a short camel ride to the west.

The five-star rating points toward fitted furnishings and private en-suite bathrooms inside each canvas structure — uncommon in a region where shared facilities remain the norm. Predawn wake-up calls are offered for guests wanting to summit the nearest dune crest before sunrise crowds arrive.

Erg Chebbi rises to 150 metres at its highest ridgeline, making this corner of Morocco one of the few places in North Africa where true star-dune formations are accessible on foot from the accommodation.
