White Camp Desert Safari

The five-star desert camp at the edge of Erg Chebbi's dunes, White Camp Desert Safari places guests within the Sahara's tallest sand formations outside Algeria — the ridge directly east reaches 150 metres and shifts colour from gold to deep amber at dusk.

Luxury tents replace permanent walls, keeping the site removable and the view unobstructed. Camel treks to the dune crests depart at sunrise and again one hour before sunset, when the light runs parallel to the sand rather than above it.

Merzouga village sits a short drive west, with its weekly market and fossil traders along the main road. The nearest airport is Errachidia, roughly two hours by road, making this a deliberate destination rather than a stopover.
