About Amalia Titicaca Lodge
Sixteen reed bungalows on the floating Uros Tupiri Corazon island, Amalia Titicaca Lodge sits roughly 45 minutes by boat from Puno's port across Lake Titicaca at 3,812 metres elevation — one of the highest navigable lakes on earth.
The island itself is constructed and maintained by the Uros community using totora reeds; guests walk on the same layered reed surface the families do, which shifts underfoot. Bungalows follow traditional Uros construction with reed walls and thatched roofing rather than concrete.
Sunrise over the lake at this altitude arrives with sharp, thin light that no lower-elevation destination replicates. Puno's port transfers run on a fixed morning schedule; private evening returns can be arranged directly with the lodge.
