TiticacaMarka lodge

Across the reed-lined shore from the floating Uros islands, TiticacaMarka Lodge sits at 3,812 metres above sea level on the Puno waterfront, where the altiplano light shifts from silver to amber within a single afternoon.

The lodge places guests within walking distance of Puno's central market and the Muelle Lacustre dock, the departure point for boat tours to Taquile and Amantaní islands. Early morning light on the lake surface rewards those who request a lake-facing room.

Puno's altitude demands acclimatisation; the lodge is well-positioned for a rest day before island excursions, with coca tea available at reception. The main plaza and the Cathedral of Puno are four blocks inland.
