Los uros Jakana Lodge
Isla los uros isla flotante, lago titicaca
About Los uros Jakana Lodge
Beyond the Puno harbor docks, a forty-minute reed boat crossing reaches the Uros floating islands — and Jakana Lodge sits on one of them, a hand-built structure of totora reeds that shifts gently with the lake's surface.
Accommodation follows traditional Uros construction: woven reed walls, layered reed flooring that compresses underfoot, and direct views across Titicaca at 3,812 metres above sea level. The island hosts a small resident family who manage the property and share context on Uros history unavailable in mainland tours.
Puno's central market and the ferry terminal for Amantaní and Taquile islands are accessible by arranged boat transfer. With just seven guest reviews averaging 9.4, the lodge remains largely unknown outside dedicated slow-travel circles.
