TITICACA FLAMENCO LODGE
ISLA LOS UROS UROS
About TITICACA FLAMENCO LODGE
Four kilometres west of Puno's ferry dock, Titicaca Flamenco Lodge occupies one of the Uros floating islands at 3,812 metres above sea level — among the highest lakeside lodges on earth. The island itself is a layered totora-reed platform, continuously rebuilt by Uros families whose presence on the lake predates the Inca.
Reed-walled rooms rely on thick woollen blankets rather than electric heating; nights drop sharply even in dry season, and the absence of light pollution makes the southern sky unusually legible. Meals draw on lake trout caught by island residents the same morning.
The lodge holds a 9.7 rating across ninety reviews, placing it among the top-scored stays in the Puno region. Motorboat transfers to the mainland dock take roughly twenty minutes; the Saturday artisan market in Puno and the Taquile Island trail are both reachable as day excursions.
