Titicaca Floating Lodge

Hidden among the totora reed islands of Lake Titicaca, the Floating Lodge rests on a traditional Uros platform roughly 5km from Puno's harbor dock. The reed floor gives underfoot with each step — a constant reminder that the lake sits 3,812 metres above sea level.

Accommodation is in thatched reed cabins; solar panels power lighting after dark, and wool blankets replace heating systems. Meals use locally caught fish and quinoa sourced from mainland Puno markets.

Boat transfers from Puno port take around 30 minutes each way and are coordinated by the lodge. Early morning light across the lake surface rewards guests who rise before 07:00, when tour boats from the city have yet to arrive.
