Batad Village Homestay & Restaurant

Twelve stone steps mark the start of the trail into Batad, the amphitheatre-shaped rice terrace village where this family-run homestay occupies a traditional Ifugao wooden house above the paddy walls. Rooms are simple; shared facilities are clean; the trade-off is direct access to terraces most visitors only photograph from viewpoints.

The restaurant serves Ifugao staples — pinikpikan chicken, camote tops, and freshly milled rice from surrounding paddies — at a communal table where guides and trekkers share the evening meal.

Batad sits a 45-minute jeepney ride from Banaue town centre, then a 30-minute hike in; no vehicles reach the village. The Tappiyah Falls trail begins 10 minutes on foot from the homestay.
