Eight floors above the Douro riverbank on Rua de Cristelo, Casa Girasol River View is a private apartment on the third floor of a residential building, its balcony angled toward the water rather than the street below.

The kitchen is fully stocked for self-catering: stovetop, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, and a coffee machine cover everything from a quick breakfast to a longer stay. Hardwood floors run throughout, and the sitting area with sofa doubles as a wind-down space after the steep climbs Porto demands daily.

The Douro riverfront and the Ribeira quay are walkable downhill; the Serra do Pilar viewpoint across the Dom Luís bridge adds a short detour. Note that upper floors are stairs-only — luggage-heavy arrivals should plan accordingly.
