About Nha Trang
Nha Trang: Coastal City on the South China Sea
Nha Trang sits on a crescent bay in Khánh Hòa Province, roughly 1,280 km south of Hanoi and 450 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The city's 6-km beach — Trần Phú Beach — runs parallel to the main boulevard and anchors most of the hotel strip. Offshore, 19 islands dot the bay; Hòn Mun Island hosts protected coral reefs, making it the primary snorkeling and diving site. The Po Nagar Cham Towers, built between the 7th and 12th centuries, stand on a granite hill north of the city center and remain the most significant historical monument in the region.
Where to Stay
Most visitors base themselves along Trần Phú or the parallel Nguyễn Thiện Thuật street, where mid-range hotels and guesthouses concentrate within walking distance of the beach. The Lộc Thọ neighborhood, slightly inland, offers quieter budget options. The Long Beach area on Hòn Tre Island, reached by cable car from Vinpearl Land, caters to resort-style stays.
