Bagus Bandem Villa

Eight kilometres north of Ubud's palace district, Bagus Bandem Villa occupies the Sebatu ridge in Tegalalang — the same highland corridor that channels water through the UNESCO-listed rice terraces cascading below the road.

Accommodation follows traditional Balinese compound structure, with open-air bathrooms and garden-facing terraces standard across room types. The ridge elevation runs noticeably cooler than central Ubud, meaning ceiling fans often suffice through the night rather than air conditioning.

Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, one of Bali's working holy spring temples, sits a short walk from the property and draws local worshippers rather than tour groups. Tegalalang's terraced viewpoints are reachable in under ten minutes by scooter; the drive into central Ubud takes around twenty.
