Mayka House

Five rooms along Jalan Raya Mas, the gallery-lined road connecting Ubud centre to the woodcarving village of Mas, Mayka House occupies a quiet compound set back from the street behind a traditional split-gate entrance. The surrounding rice terraces remain visible from the upper garden.

The guesthouse runs without a formal front desk — check-in is handled by the resident host family, giving arrivals a noticeably different rhythm from the larger resort properties a kilometre north on Monkey Forest Road. Breakfasts use local produce sourced from the Ubud morning market.

Jalan Raya Mas places guests between two worthwhile stops: the Agung Rai Museum of Art lies fifteen minutes on foot toward town, while the Mas woodcarvers' workshops begin within a ten-minute walk south.
