Sawah Sebatu Villa

Twenty-four kilometres north of central Ubud along the Tegallalang ridge, Sawah Sebatu Villa occupies the quiet village of Sebatu — closer to the sacred Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu spring temple than to the gallery-lined streets of central Ubud, making it a genuine retreat for travellers prioritising silence over town access.

Sebatu sits above the terraced rice bowl that draws photographers to Tegallalang, yet the village itself sees little foot traffic. The surrounding sawah — working paddy fields — frame the property on multiple sides, and mornings here are defined by irrigation sounds rather than motor traffic.

Jalan Uma Kelod is a narrow lane requiring a driver for practical day trips; Ubud's Monkey Forest and market are roughly forty minutes by car. Guests without private transport typically arrange a dedicated driver for the duration of their stay.
