About Romantik Hotel Turm
Forty metres above the valley floor in the medieval village of Fie allo Sciliar, Romantik Hotel Turm anchors itself inside a 13th-century watchtower whose original stone walls still define the oldest guest rooms. The tower's base dates to 1237, making it one of the Dolomites' longest-serving lodging structures.
Rooms in the tower wing retain vaulted ceilings and window embrasures cut through metre-thick masonry; rooms in the newer wing run larger with Alpine-facing terraces. The wine cellar holds over 90,000 bottles — one of the largest private collections in South Tyrol.
Fie allo Sciliar sits roughly 18km northeast of Bolzano, linked by regular bus. The Alpe di Siusi cable car, largest high-altitude meadow in Europe, departs from the village edge.
