Palazzo Dragoni
Via del Duomo 13
About Palazzo Dragoni
Fourteen rooms occupy a medieval palazzo on Via del Duomo, thirty metres from Spoleto's 12th-century cathedral facade — close enough that the rose window is visible from the upper-floor windows at dusk.
The building retains its original vaulted ceilings and stone archways; rooms vary considerably in layout, with the corner suites offering dual-aspect views across the Piazza del Duomo and the valley below. No two floors share the same ceiling height, a result of the palazzo's layered construction across several centuries.
Spoleto sits midway between Perugia and Rome on the Umbrian line, with direct trains to both. The Festival dei Due Mondi, one of Italy's oldest performing arts events, runs each June and July within walking distance of the entrance.
