About Ville d'Anaunia

Ville d'Anaunia

Ville d'Anaunia is a small Alpine municipality in the Non Valley (Val di Non), Trentino, northern Italy, formed in 2015 by the merger of Campodenno, Flavon, Mechel, and Sporminore. The valley sits at roughly 600–900 metres above sea level, carved by the Noce river, and is one of Italy's most productive apple-growing regions — the IGP-certified Melinda apple cooperative operates here. The Castel Valer, a 16th-century noble residence still in private hands, rises above Tavon and is one of the most photographed castles in Trentino.

Visitors come for hiking and cycling trails that connect to the wider Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, for fishing along the Noce, and for seasonal agritourism tied to the apple harvest each October. The area draws Italian and German-speaking guests seeking quiet mountain stays away from the more crowded Dolomite resorts. Trento, the regional capital, is approximately 25 kilometres south and reachable by car in under 30 minutes, giving guests access to a major rail hub.

Accommodation in Ville d'Anaunia centres on small guesthouses and agriturismo properties across the merged hamlets. The A22 Brenner motorway runs through the valley, making the area accessible from Verona (about 100 km south) and Bolzano (about 50 km north).
