Ubud Centre suits travellers who want evening performances of Kecak or Legong dance at Pura Dalem Ubud and morning walks to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces (8 km north). Penestanan, west of the Campuhan bridge, draws artists and long-stay visitors; narrow paths thread between family compounds and small cafés. Nyuh Kuning is calm at night and within cycling distance of the Pura Taman Saraswati water temple. Families and couples seeking pool villas typically choose the roads south toward Pengosekan.

Getting Around

Ubud has no public bus network within the town. Ojek (motorcycle taxi) apps — Go-Jek and Grab — cover short distances. Renting a scooter costs around IDR 80,000–100,000 per day; an air-conditioned car with driver runs IDR 500,000–700,000 for a full day and is the practical choice for reaching Mount Batur (30 km north) or the coastal temples at Tanah Lot (35 km southwest).
