Casa do Ti Tóte

Beneath the schist rooftops of Talasnal, one of central Portugal's best-preserved mountain hamlets, Casa do Ti Tóte occupies a restored stone house on the Serra da Lousã slopes. The village is car-free above the valley floor, reached by a steep track off the N236.

Rooms use local slate and chestnut timber throughout, with valley-facing windows that frame the forested ridgeline. The kitchen draws from the Lousã Friday market and the property's own garden herbs.

Talasnal anchors the Aldeias do Xisto trail network; the schist village loop links six hamlets within a half-day walk. The town of Lousã, with its hilltop castle and riverside cafes, sits twelve kilometres downhill by road.
