Casas do Talasnal

Past the last tarmac road above Lousã, the schist village of Talasnal clings to a granite hillside at roughly 700 metres — Casas do Talasnal occupies restored stone cottages within the medieval settlement, where car access ends at the car park below.

Each house keeps original schist walls and slate roofing; interiors run to wood-beam ceilings and private terraces facing the Lousã valley. The property sits inside a living historic village, meaning neighbours and goats are part of the experience.

Lousã town lies eight kilometres downhill by forest road, with the nearest grocery a ten-minute drive. The surrounding Serra da Lousã trails connect directly from the village footpaths — popular with hikers arriving from Coimbra, forty kilometres north.
